Operation save the Naira

Soludo [29 May 2004—29 May 2009]
Start: ₦139.6
End: ₦180.6

Sanusi [3 Jun 2009—2 Jun 2014]
Start: ₦166.1
End: ₦167.2

Emefiele [3 Jun 2014 — June, 2023]
Start: ₦167.2
Now: ₦800+

The naira started experiencing a drastic turn down
from the administration of Charles Soludo, 139.6 to 180.6( That’s a 29% increase) in the year 2004 to 2009.
During the administration of Sanusi Lamido, in the year 2009 to 2014, the naira witnessed another decline from the 166.1 to 167.2 ( 0.66%), although this was considered one of the best administration with the naira having a strong hold on the foreign exchange chart.

The administration of Godwin Emefiele came with a big fall of the naira in the foreign exchange market
from 167.2 which Lamido left it to 800+ ( A 31.9%) increase one of the worst the economy have experience.

hopefully the government policy will help in curbing the fall of the naira and bring the Nigerian economy to a stable flow.
